Eligibility:
The USAPA National Tournament is a sanctioned pickleball tournament open to all players. USAPA membership is required.
National Tournament Format:
All events in all divisions will follow a double-elimination format where losers in the upper bracket will continue to compete in the lower bracket until they lose a second match. Players who win all their lower bracket matches will compete for first place against the winner(s) of the upper bracket.
All upper bracket matches will be the best 2 out of 3 games to 11 points, win by 2 points. All lower bracket matches will be 1 game to 15 points, win by 2 points. Awards will go to the top three teams or individuals in each event. If there is only 1 entry in an age group, age groups may be combined. In that event, teams or players will win awards in the combined age group only.
Although a player may be qualified to play in multiple age groups and events, he or she may not sign up for more than one age group in any event. A player may play in one age group of any age group event for which he/she is qualified. He/she may also sign up for Open Division events. The tournament ball will be the yellow Seamless DURA ball. Current USAPA rules will apply. Formats for each division will be as follows:
Open Division – November 11-13, 2011:
