Q: Can Juniors play in 19+ events?
A: Yes. They must pay $10 for each 19+ event they enter.
Q: For doubles events, what determines the age of the team?
A: If both players are 19 or older, the age of the youngest player is used to select the age group unless the player or team chooses to play down in another age group. Example, a team of 64 year old players may play in any age group below the age of 60 except juniors.
If both players are under 19, the age of the oldest player is used to select the age group for junior events.
If a junior (13-18) is playing with a non-junior (19+), 19 will be used; they will play in the 19-34 category. : Players may play in any age group for which they qualify. E.g. A 52-year-old player may play in 19+, 35+, or 50+.
Players may choose only one age group in each event. The age groups do not need to be the same. e.g. A 59-year-old player may play in 19+ for Doubles, in 50+ for Mixed Doubles and 55+ for Singles. Juniors may select junior age group events or 19+ age group events. All players can enter Open Division events.
Q: How many players will be allowed in each division?
A: There is no limit.

Q: After the final registration deadline, can I change a partner?
A: In some instances, yes; such as a partner illness or injury. The substitution can only be made with a player already registered in the tournament.
Q: What if my partner gets hurt during the tournament; can I get another partner for my other events?
A: You can only get a partner from those already registered in the tournament. You cannot substitute another player once the event starts. If you or your partner can't play, please notify us a.s.a.p. via email or phone (206-372-5915). We can then possibly find someone for you or your partner and at least we know the withdrawing player will not be showing up the day of the event. All changes after the registration deadline are subject to approval.
Q: Why must I check-in each day I play?
A: You must check-in each play day so we know if all the players have arrived. We will also collect any outstanding monies at that time and have unsigned waivers signed.
Q: Will the results be live on the Internet?
A: No. Due to the size of the tournament, we will be using a local server instead of wireless, BUT we will be uploading during the day and at the end of play.
Q: Will there be water at the courts?
A: Yes water will be provided but you must provide your own drinking bottle.
Q: Will there be parking near the courts?

Q: When are the brackets for play going to be posted?

Q: How do I apply for a Host Home?
A: The USAPA will not have a hosting program this year. The USAPA has contacted local hotels and has secured discount rates during the tournament with some of the hotels. Be sure to ask if your hotel has special National Pickleball Tournament rates when making your reservation. A list of hotels is in the Registration Booklet and on the USAPA website, linked from the National Tournament Information page.
Q: What if I want to register for a doubles event, but I don't have a partner?
A: We have a feature on our website called "Partner Search". It can be found on the USAPA home page. We recommend you check Partner Search to see if you can find a partner before you register. If you want to register for an event before you find a partner, you may do so. It will be your responsibility to find a partner and add the information to your registration before the Final Registration Deadline of, October 10, 2011 11:59 PM EDT. The USAPA will only try to find a replacement partner after the registration deadline and only from the list of registered players. If you do not have a partner before the start of the event, we may cancel that event for you and refund your event fee.
Q: If I have to cancel my registration can I get a refund?
A: If you send us a written notice of your cancellation / request for refund (by e-mail or mail) by November 4, 2011 11:59 PM EDT, we will send you a refund equal to the registration fee and event fees you paid less a $10 processing fee.
